Girls and Guys who suffer with spots, large pores, bleeding gums and sensitive teeth:
Here are 3 products that have changed my life in under a week:
Corsodyl ultra clean toothpaste
Nip and fab glycolic fix serum
Acnecide 5% benezoyl peroxide gel wash
So my gums always bled for quite a while now when I brushed my teeth. Recently I started to get horrible sensitivity in several areas as a result of gum recession. It was becoming so uncomfortable I decided to do something about it and honestly within 2 days of using this toothpaste twice a day the sensitivity had gone right down and so did the bleeding. Now, after about a week of using it I have mostly no bleeding at all and all the sensitive areas of my gums have gone back to normal. My mouth always feels way healthier compared to the normal Colgate toothpastes I’ve used.
Spots are something that again I’ve suffered with for a long time – I have combination skin that produces A LOT of oil and causes so many blackheads, pimples and under skin whiteheads. I have tried so many products and wasted so much money trying to fix it. I decided to look on the Superdrug website for acne solutions and came across benzoyl peroxide gel wash for only £7.50 from their pharmacy section. Fill out a quick form which is reviewed by the pharmacist and received it In a couple days. This wash has honestly done wonders. From the first use it brought down my spots, dried them out and noticeably prevents more, as usually when one lot start to go I notice more coming up but since using this that hasn’t happened. It has helped smooth out my skin and has honestly made better improvement to my skin in a few days than other products have my whole life. I wet my face and then put the product on the spots, leave for 1 minute, then put a thin layer over the rest of my face, leave for a further 1 minute then wash. It states contact time on the skin should be 1-2 minutes it may be tempting when you have really bad skin to leave it for longer but this will only do more harm! Follow the instructions. I made that mistake when using salicylic acid, thinking the stronger it was the more effective it’d be and in the end it only made my skin worse. This wash is really easy to use and has made improvement to my skin that is worth way more than £7.50. I use it twice a day, one in the morning once before bed. I do not however, use it to take makeup off. It is not for that and for that you should use a good cleanser (I use dermalogica’s special cleansing gel prior to the acnecide wash, and it’s suitable for all skin conditions*). Definitely try the Acnecide gel wash if you’re at a loss with your spots!
*Side note: Dermalogica’s Special Cleansing Gel is my go to daily cleanser to remove excess dirt, makeup etc. I was lucky enough to be sent it as part of a PR package however do not be put off the price if you can afford it. It’s about £32 but the bottle is very big and you need the tiniest amount. It lasts AGES and is so worth it. Dermalogica are skin experts and this product is dermatologically tested and suitable for all skin types/ conditions. No perfume, no bullshit, and it works. It’s really important to use such a good, kind to skin cleanser, as this is going to reset your skin’s balance and create the perfect blank canvas for other skin treatments to work on.
After patting dry my face with tissue I then use the nip and fab glycolic fix serum. This was on offer at Superdrug and I thought I would use it to add some moisture back to my face after washing. I usually use moisturisers but I found even the oil balancing ones would over hydrate my skin and cause more spots. This serum smells amazing, has a great fresh gel texture that has glycolic acid (helps fight spots and renew skin texture) as well as reducing wrinkles. I had a verticle frown wrinkle in between my eyebrows which is now gone after a few days of using this. I use it once a day before bed and let it completely soak in before sleeping. It also contains aloe Vera to soothe the skin and minimises large pores.
The first photo shows my results after 3 days.
And those are my 3 current life savers! Small prices, big results. It a yes from me.
